Readiness to practise: Literature scan II

This literature scan is written to support the second phase of enhance R2P: an Ako Aotearoa funded project focused on developing a professional capabilities framework to clarify the capabilities of newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) and social workers at experienced and advanced levels of practice.

The second phase of the project was designed to answer the following question: How well prepared are NQSWs (social workers in their first year of practice) to enter professional social work, and how is their learning being supported and enhanced in the workplace?

The aim of this literature scan was to scan relevant national and international literature on the readiness to practise of NQSWs, with an emphasis placed on literature from England (the country that, currently, has with the most established literature base in this domain).
